Muscle Fat and Drug Abuse

Researchers who study fat cells and their storage capabilities often run across the fact that fat cells can store enormous Muscle Fat and Drug Abuseamounts of toxins. One of the reasons why fat people hate sweating and working off their fat is because of the fact that these toxins must be eliminated when their containing fat cells are burned. This can be an extremely uncomfortable process, especially if the elimination is so toxic that all sweat causes itching on the surface of the skin and must be scratched off.

Interestingly enough, drugs and alcohol are both types of toxins which can be stored in fat cells, and which consequently must be eliminated when these fat cells are burned. This is one of the reasons why athletes rarely drink or abuse drugs and why abusers rarely work out. It is much more comfortable for the abuser to simply store those toxins in their fat cells and not deal with the process.

Onsite drug and alcohol testing is implemented in case some of your employees turn rogue and bring drugs or alcohol to work or show up to work while under the influence. Workplace drug testing is really widespread and most major companies implement it and even entire industries require it in all participating businesses. Abuse is a safety hazard, and drug testing helps to reduce the number of accidents, injuries and fatalities which can occur while on the jobsite. This is especially true for high stress, high hazard industries, such as mining and aviation.

Not every job entails heavy lifting and the need to be muscular. When muscles are not used properly or when they are not exercised to their fullest extent, then fat builds up inside the muscle and, if left unchecked, eventually spills over into fat storage which is visible from the outside of the body. It may be that drug abuse and alcohol abuse is more likely to occur in jobs where muscle fat can accumulate and where muscles do not naturally force fat and toxins out through exercise and lifting. It is an interesting theory.

Mediscreen provides drug testing to Australia, offering onsite drug testing services all over the country. We’d love to hear from you: (+61) 1300 79 70 40.
