What Drugs Can We Detect?

In this day and age the proliferation and availability of drugs on the street is alarming. Every week we hear of more substances that have been created or are being abused, and of course a proportion of those will inevitably end up in the workplace creating risk – either whilst the person is ‘high’ on the drug or suffering the ‘comedown’ effects which can be very dangerous. We can help you mitigate that risk through an extensive suite of product offerings and services.

One of the common questions we get is “What drugs can you test for?“. Our range is ever increasing as technologies catch up with the drugs of abuse that are constantly being refined and altered to avoid detection using the common detection methods. As sophisticated as the criminals who produce these drugs are, Mediscreen™ is right behind them ready to test and detect these substances.

At Mediscreen™ not only do you have a great choice of testing methodologies (Hair, Urine Oral Fluid, LC/MS, GC/MS), but also the drug classes that you can test for.

One scenario might be that you are not getting any detections, or greatly reduced detections (from what you normally see) through your current testing program. You may suspect that the risk takers in your workforce have changed their drug of choice to those other than the 6 defined under Australian Standard 4308 thereby avoiding detection. If you believe this to be the case, then we can look deeper at other common and less commonly used drug classes. This way you can reduce the risk to your business and workforce.
