The Quest for Perfection

With all of the human error which is so rampantly available in the world, it is difficult to imagine how the quest for perfection could be anything but futile. However, this is not entirely the case. Whether you seek perfection in your job, or perfection in your business, or your body, or your lifestyle, the quest for perfection can actually be a good thing.

People who have such high goals of perfection often find themselves being called intolerant. The positive side of intolerance is that the individual has really high standards for themselves and others.

This is the way to achieve anything you desire. You can either use your strong physical drive to go ahead and reach for perfection itself, not giving up or being discouraged by the hours and hours of practice which are required. You could, on the other hand, shoot for slightly lower goals, prior to striving for perfection. This second option is great for anyone who easily is discouraged when things are not going their way.

Alcohol and drug testing can be one of the tools you use to get your company whipped into line. If you have a naturally intolerant nature, use this to your advantage by expecting high quality work from other people, and by demanding high quality work from yourself. This is the name of the game. At the same time, though, you must recognize that not everyone will naturally be as intolerant as you are, and therefore will not have high of standards as you do. This is important to recognize so that you can tailor your personal interactions with your workers to allow for the differences in standards.

Of course, the difference in standards cannot be excused if their work is poor quality.

Workplace drug testing keeps your staff members set in a minimum standard of behavior. If they cannot maintain this minimal level of professionalism, they are certainly not assets to your company. Onsite drug and alcohol testing carries a great responsibility, for it gives you the power to keep the best employees, and to let go of insufficient workers. We are up to the challenge.
